About me
I qualified in 2013, following a four year degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics at The University of Salford. I went on to work at The Douglas Bader Rehabilitation Centre in Roehampton, part of St George's NHS Foundation Trust, where I led specialist clinics including paediatrics, neurorehabilitation, scoliosis and diabetes. Since then I have specialised in children's orthotics, working at centres including Great Ormond Street, The Evelina, and The Children's Trust Tadworth.
Since qualifying I have completed various further training including a Master's degree at the University of Strathclyde (Rehabilitation Studies), Spinal Mechanics at Staffordshire University, and scoliosis training including Cheneau bracing with Dr Manuel Rigo in Germany.
I am interested in making sure that we offer the best possible care, which is 'evidence based'. My efforts in this area have led to 15 articles published in scientific journals, and invitations to teach at UK universities. I am also a peer reviewer for various scientific journals, meaning that I have the chance to review and feedback on the latest research before it is published, as well as helping decide which research should be published.
Outside of work I'm married and a busy dad to two girls. I stay active with running, bouldering, and kayaking, among other things.
